Who is responsible for your data?
State of Art is responsible for the processing of personal data as described in this privacy statement. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Below you will find the details of both legal entities:

What data do we process?
State of Art processes data from anyone who leaves data in a store or via the webshop, and from individuals whose data we receive via affiliate partners. This includes:
- Name, address, and place of residence
- Contact information (phone number, email address)
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Payment details
- Website login details
- Location data
- Purchase history

How long do we store your data?
State of Art does not store your data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and adheres to the statutory retention periods:

The data retention period for website visitor data via Google Analytics 4 is configurable. Check this via Admin - Data Settings - Data Retention in your GA4 account.
With whom do we share your data?
State of Art only shares your personal data with other parties if this is necessary. We enter into a processor agreement with all processors:
- ICT companies for database and website management
- Payment providers for payment processing
- Delivery transport companies
- Trusted Shops for collecting customer reviews
- Google (Google Analytics 4) for website analysis
- Klarna for deferred payments
- Affiliate Partners
If you choose to pay with Klarna, Klarna may perform a credit check or pass on payment details to an external credit institution on the basis of legitimate interest. You can object to this at any time.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to gain insight into the use of our website. GA4 collects anonymized data about visitor behavior, such as pages visited, session duration, and visitor origin.
Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so, or insofar as third parties process the information on Google's behalf. We have not given Google permission to use the Analytics information obtained for other Google services. The data will be stored for a maximum of 14 months.
You can prevent the use of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on via tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Security of your data
State of Art appropriately secures your data against theft, loss, or other unlawful use. We have taken technical and organizational measures to prevent your personal data from being lost, stolen, or accessed by unauthorized persons.
Newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter, we will use your email address to regularly send you our newsletter with information about collections and promotions. We do this based on your consent.
You can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in the newsletter or by sending an email to contact@stateofart.com. After unsubscribing, we will immediately delete your email address.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files used by websites to improve the user experience. We use the following types of cookies:
- Functional cookies - necessary for the use of the website, no consent required
- Analytical cookies - for insights into the use of our website (Google Analytics 4)

Complaints and supervisor
Do you believe that we are not handling your data carefully? Then you can submit a complaint to State of Art. If we cannot resolve the issue together, you can submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl). As a final step, you can appeal to the court.
