Clothing should fit well, represent your character, but above all, maintain its quality. All our clothing items have their own journey. From design, to production, to transport, right up until the moment you wear it for the first time. As small improvements can cause impactful changes, we believe that today’s ecological footprint defines the quality of life for tomorrow.

This is reflected in our effort to reduce our footprint. It’s part of our daily business. We strive for transparency in our supply chain and are honest to everyone involved in the process. Comfort and pleasure, not only for our clients, but for all people connected to our brand. It’s what we call Responsible. Together.

Our belief in a better world

State of Art has always strived to ensure its collections are produced with proper respect for people and planet. Since the label’s conception in 1987, we have carefully chosen supply chain partners who share our values and can be trusted to abide by them. Quality and reliability always come first at State of Art. Our long-term partnership relations guarantee the quality and durability of our collections, but also the social and ecological circumstances at these facilities.

We continue to increase the use of sustainable materials, while maintaining transparency and traceability throughout the entire Chain of Custody. By being a certified brand for world’s leading standards as the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and the Organic Content Standard (OCS), we show our responsibility and reliability towards the society and the environment.

This is how we do it

From cotton field to the brand

GOTS is recognized as the world’s leading sustainable standard for textiles made from organic fibers. Besides, it defines high level social and environmental criteria along the entire supply chain: from cotton field to the brands.

From waste to yarns

In a unique collaboration between Loop.a life and State of Art a circulair capsule collection has been developed. These items are made of post consumer waste, collected in the Netherlands and brought back to yarns.
