State of Art presents the Spring/Summer 2015 collection

09 February 2015

We are driving south along Route 51. At Kentwood we crossed the border between Mississippi and Louisiana and we are now on our way to The Big Easy. That is the popular name given to New Orleans, and for good reason.

When we enter the city, we are overwhelmed by the atmosphere. It is immediately clear what is meant by The Big Easy and, without making any effort at all, you quickly become a part of the greater whole. So it's no surprise that the atmosphere of New Orleans is a source for many musicians, poets, writers; and now for us as well. Just as Mark Twain used the inspiration for his books, we also tried to infuse our products with the atmosphere of New Orleans, which resulted in our new collection.

When we visit the southern inlands, we are surrounded by forests and old plantations. The weather is nice enough, yet some think it's a bit chilly, while others think it's hot. The new spring collection offers the solution: thin cardigans and light sweaters for a feeling of pleasant comfort, lightweight blazers and jackets when the weather is cooler. The cotton shirts and Bermuda shorts are colourful and can be elegantly combined.

The new collection, with three consignments and the corresponding colour palettes, also offers unlimited opportunities to combine with your own personal style. Knitwear and shirts in distinct designs, perfect to combine with the stylish sweaters and trousers in soft plains. And lovely cardigans and comfortable blazers for cooler spring days, with jeans that you can wear every day.

The collection also lends itself extremely well to combinations within the new 'Dressual' (or 'Smart Casual') trend. By this we mean all the designs that give the materials a more sophisticated look. The trend goes well with the lightweight blazers, thin cardigans, chinos in subdued colours and matching accessories.
