The 911 from model year 1972 is known at the Stuttgart factory as the T series. Partly due to tighter regulations for exhaust gases in the US, this series has yielded a new generation of engines. The 2.4-litre engine was given a lower compression, so that ‘normal’ combustion was also possible. Yet, the Porsche engineers succeeded in getting a better performance from the block. This orange Porsche 911 T Targa from 1972 has a 6-cylinder Boxer engine, generating 165 hp at 6,200 rpm – a quick start guaranteed! From zero to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, so not only its looks are dazzling.
