“Like father, like son”, the world's newspapers wrote about Sebastiaan. Before he even knew how to say the word "car" he had already inherited a love of driving from his father, Formula 1 racing driver Michael Bleekemolen. Sebastiaan made a successful start in formula cars, moved on to the Dutch Renault Megane Cup, and then was a champion again in the Clio Cup.
